Ivan specializes in rentals and sales exclusively in Long Island City and Astoria and is the only resource you would need in your apartment search in these neighborhoods. He is a graduate of Adelphi University, holding a degree in International Relations and Business, and he also has an MBA from MCNY. Recently he has also completed a diploma program in Residential Property Management at NYU to further expand his skills and expertise in the real estate market. Ivan's vast knowledge and 10 years of experience in the business has contributed to his success, but it wasn’t without his philosophy of “blatant honesty” with his clients that has lead him to ultimate achievement. Recognized as Long Island City expert, he has mastered all the luxury high-rise buildings in the area and has a direct relationship with owners, developers, and leasing offices alike. Ivan is a Certified Negotiation Expert and he makes sure that his clients get the best possible rate in any given transaction. Additionally, Ivan has earned the Certified Buyer Representative (CBR®) designation. His ability to find No Fee apartment options for his clients and his devotion has resulted in him being reviewed on many different platforms such as Yelp, Naked Apartments, Google, Zillow, and others. Sensitive to his clients’ needs, he takes pride in his ability to solve “problems.” Ivan has overseen over 1100 transactions in his RE career helping many different people in the process, including--students looking to rent their first apartment in New York to families looking to relocate to a luxury 3- bedroom penthouse.

I can highly recommend Ivan and Luxury Apartments LIC. Everyone went above and beyond what I expected a real estate company would do! My neighbors commented that the photos taken were better than what they got with their realtors. Had great traffic from potential buyers. My buyer posed several challenges along the way, but Ivan was able to guide me and speak with the buyer on my behalf. The closing went without a hitch! Would definitely use them again in the future. Would do more than 5 Stars if I could!

These guys are the real deal. I was moving from across the country and set about to find the right apartment with just about a month before moving date. It is no easy task to find a building and management team I could trust from 3000 miles away, and then to be a successful applicant in such a competitive rental market. Asen and Ivan made it easy, successfully pairing me with a couple suitable units in LIC including those that were not yet listed publicly for applicants. Long Island City-based realtor Ivan Palov has recently left a citywide brokerage firm to form his own real estate company, named after the neighborhood that he calls home.

The new firm, Luxury Apartments LIC, was formed in mid-January, and focuses on residential sales, rentals, and property management within Long Island City.

Palov says that he has been a passionate fan of the neighborhood ever since he moved to the Dutch Kills section of Long Island City in 2010 and began selling real estate.

His passion continues to grow as the neighborhood flourishes with new restaurants, coffee shops and breweries. He said one of Long Island City’s big draws is its waterfront parks, which expanded last year with the opening of Phase 2 of Hunters Point South Park.

“I knew one day that people would see that there’s more to Long Island City than the close commute to Manhattan,” Palov said. “So, I formed a real estate company that specializes in the neighborhood that I know best.”

Palov, the company’s principal broker and lead property manager, is joined at his new company by real estate agents Pavla Petrova and Vlad Vladimirov.

He said that through his team’s collective experience, they have established relationships with a wide range of property owners in Long Island City, from those looking to sell private houses, to the owners of high-rise rental and condominium units.

He credits these existing relationships with having helped his team negotiate favorable prices for hundreds of past clients, the majority of whom were in the market for rentals.
