My boyfriend and I LOVED working with Ivan and Vlad! Vlad showed us 7-8 apartments on a sunny Friday afternoon and they were all lovely, well maintained and (most importantly) within our budget. As a somewhat shy and indecisive person, I also appreciated that when a property manager tried to get us to apply for one on the spot, Vlad stepped in and said that instead we would think about it and get back to them. Vlad allowed us to make our decision on our time and was super laidback and helpful.

After we toured apartments, we found a beautiful waterfront apartment (we literally saw a boat zooming by through the window when we visited!) and applied later the same day. We were approved the next morning and signed the lease 2 days later, 3 days after we toured apartments with Vlad. The whole process was quick, smooth and stress-free because Vlad picked out great places for us and found places that were offering concessions (like 2 months free on a 12-month lease.)

Another thing that was pretty amazing was that Vlad and Ivan got us 3 months free on our 24-month lease! We got a great deal on an amazing waterfront apartment with all the amenities we wanted thanks to Vlad and Ivan. They were so professional, laidback and responsive to our questions every step of the way. Working with Vlad and Ivan the process was much smoother (and faster!) than we expected and we‘ve never been this excited about an apartment before! We’re definitely going to recommend Luxury Apartments LIC to all our friends!

We are very grateful for Vlad as he was showing us the apartments. We came with a fussy crying infant ???????? and Vlad was very accommodating and patient. We are also very happy with the way Ivan helped us with our application process. We honestly never had better past experience. Apartment hunting is usually so time consuming and can be stressful, but Vlad and Ivan made it super easy for us.

Long Island City-based realtor Ivan Palov has recently left a citywide brokerage firm to form his own real estate company, named after the neighborhood that he calls home.

The new firm, Luxury Apartments LIC, was formed in mid-January, and focuses on residential sales, rentals, and property management within Long Island City.

Palov says that he has been a passionate fan of the neighborhood ever since he moved to the Dutch Kills section of Long Island City in 2010 and began selling real estate.

His passion continues to grow as the neighborhood flourishes with new restaurants, coffee shops and breweries. He said one of Long Island City’s big draws is its waterfront parks, which expanded last year with the opening of Phase 2 of Hunters Point South Park.

“I knew one day that people would see that there’s more to Long Island City than the close commute to Manhattan,” Palov said. “So, I formed a real estate company that specializes in the neighborhood that I know best.”

Palov, the company’s principal broker and lead property manager, is joined at his new company by real estate agents Pavla Petrova and Vlad Vladimirov.

He said that through his team’s collective experience, they have established relationships with a wide range of property owners in Long Island City, from those looking to sell private houses, to the owners of high-rise rental and condominium units.

He credits these existing relationships with having helped his team negotiate favorable prices for hundreds of past clients, the majority of whom were in the market for rentals.

“We have helped 1,100 different customers find their dream homes in the area, which is one of the many reasons why we proudly consider ourselves experts in Long Island City real estate,” he stated.

“There is a lot of inventory, but we make it a priority to know each and every unit’s features, limitations, and offered amenities to be sure that we show a place that fits any of our client’s needs,” he said.

He noted that his ability to professionally and efficiently handle each step of a real estate transaction has helped him receive more than 50 glowing reviews on Yelp, and many positive remarks from former clients on Zillow.

Ivan Palov is a graduate of Adelphi University with a degree in International Business. He received his Master of Business Administration degree from Metropolitan College of New York, and holds a New York University diploma in Residential Property Management.
